Bringing magic to children with SEND, living in poverty, suffering bereavement or trauma and those with life-limiting and serious illness.
Our Story
Every year, at Christmas it has been our aim as a family to give something to those who are struggling, from hampers and vouchers to helping at shelters over the Christmas period. But we knew with our backgrounds in the entertainment and hospitality sectors and our experiences of running charities, that we could do a whole lot more.

There are so many experience venues and immersive events around at Christmas but these are, more often than not, far above the budget of many families, inaccessible for those with complex needs and generally an impossibility to many.

And so the idea was born. Giving children a magical Christmas experience, for free, in a magical, exclusive venue - a venue which provides funding for the charity itself. The Barn, Brading.
In Practice
Each Christmas, we aim to bring as many families to The Barn, Brading as possible. Whether it's an elven village, an enchanted forest or Little Lapland, every child gets and exclusive experience, tailored to their needs. Only one family at a time is ever in the venue for these special events giving them a relaxed and safe space. The experience includes:

A storybook, immersive experience, with just one family with activities tailored to the needs of each child

Sweet treats and hot chocolate for the children, mulled wine and mince pie for adults

A gift on the day for every child

A high value gift given to parents/guardians for the child to open on Christmas morning

Vouchers for food shopping for every family

Referrals, sign-posting and advice from relelvant professionals to make sure each family can access help beyond the Christmas period.
